Shapeshifter
The Hero character of a Snow Queen retelling with shapeshifter elements. The story is set in 1940s Europe. The girl can steal the skins of other animals to gain their abilities and so has a skinning knife, as well as a compass to find her way in the Snow Queen's unnatural winter.
